I got my tires rotated at the dealer last Thursday. Later that day, I installed new shifter bushings. My friend dropped one of the bushings on the cross member.With the car on/engine off, I turned the steering wheel (without power steering on) to check. I don't know if it's just me playing too much videogames...but my steering wheel feels real loose, now. I can turn it 2" each way with little to no effort. Did I screw something up? Help!

I checked it again and it seems like there is 6-8" of loose steering. I'll have my mom drive it tomorrow..see if she notices anything...

how about taking it to the dealer and having them check the steering rack and the alignment? forget trying to measure it yourself.. have it checked out professionally before you lose control of the car or worse, hurt yourself... that much looseness in the steering wheel isn't good.. not something you can let go over time.. not safe..

It degree of turning is still aligned...but it feels....loose. I'm betting my money it's because I've been playing videogames with my Driving Force Pro too much in the last couple of days... :lol: I'll let mommy test it...
