The AUX-IN jack located in the center console in my stock '07 Scion tC makes an annoying as hell loud whining high-pitch sound when it's connected to a Sirius satellite radio reciever, however, it works fine with my iPod.
When I press the AUX button on my radio and nothing is plugged in it stays quiet. When I plug in one end of an audion cable into the jack it starts emitting this very high pitch noise. When I plug in my iPod to the other end, the noise stops. Fine, whatever, as long as the sound STOPS.
However, I got a Sirius Satellite radio that has a line-out so that I can hook it up directly to my radio. When I plug it in, the Sirius works fine and I can hear it but on top of the music I hear the same ____ing TERRIBLE high-pitch sound. What's causing this? And why? Why would it work fine with the iPod but not the Sirius radio? Obviously, it's the cars fault seeing as how the sound is there without anything plugged in.
It is interesting to note that when the car is not moving, the noise is BARELY audible. When I press on the gas, the whining gets louder and higher. When I'm on the highway, it's basically unlistenable. Can anyone help me? This does not sound normal at all. The audio cable is a standard cable. I've tries two different cables with the same results. I'm sick of this horse-____, my ears are bleeding. Does ANYONE else have this problem? Please help!
