Default Hooking up my Sansa to an '05

I have a Sandisk Sansa (mp3 player), and want to hook it up to my best car ever

I've read the iPod forums, which provide some useful information (especially about the quality of the FM transmitters.) That's the easiest route, but if the quality is that poor, I'd rather not. (I'd probably still get one for when I'm renting a car or using someone else's.) If I got one, I'd get this:

http://www.macally.com/spec/sansa/sn-fmcup.html

... which is FM, but at least fits nicely in the car

I can hook into the CD Changer port, but as far as I can tell, there aren't any stereos which let me control the player. I could also upgrade to the 2006 stereo, since the AUX jack is on the front. But it doesn't sound like I can control the Sansa through the stereo interface.

Is there some stereo or adapter for my current stereo that lets me plug a generic (i.e. compatible with Microsoft Plays-for-sure) MP3 player in and control it through the stereo?

Thanks.

the aux jack is inside the armrest actually...

but yeah.. no matter what you do... something like that needs to be controlled from the player itself.

it's impossible for the player to be controlled from a stereo.

(you "can" from a computer though (play music from the player).... so... a carputer....... "possible".... but then... you wouldn't really need the mp3 player at all anyway....)

yeah theres gonna be no way to control it from the stereo that I know of-- except the volume control... because the mp3 player has its own internal device that lets you control the songs, etc. With the Ipod they integrated that with the headunit-- something that sandisk most likely will never do--- good luck hunting tho

go from the aux input on the headunit to the mp3 player. by far the best way. i got mines on ebay for like $30.00. sounds great (as good as the pioneer special cable crap which is overpriced and doesn't function that great imo) and charges my ipod as well. plus it let's you control your music directly from your ipod or other mp3 player.

Where? I looked, all I saw was the extra cigarette lighter. Am I missing something?
