Default What's up SL? I Want Lights Under My Tires So Bad!!!! Help!!

I bought my box in oct. Its still stock. Since I'm in school, I have no money nor time to fix up my box. However, I've been wanting blue lights under my wheels....well on top of my wheels. Keep in mind that I don't have much qwap($) to work with. What is needed to make this happen? In my last car, I had lights inside under the dash board of the driver and passenger side. Are the same lights used for putting lighting on top of the tires to? Not looking to installing myself either. How much am I looking at for this project? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

Just go to Oznium.com they have everything, and you could do the installation
yourself, it should be pretty easy, no need to pay for labor if you can do it yourself

the only marginally difficult part of the install is passing thru the firewall - i imagine you'd get raked over the coals if you asked a shop to install it.

they'd spend at least two hours laughing about it, and charge you for it.

a) find a place to tap for power (check the cold cathode install in the tech section)
b) wire to a switch, use the gardner-bender GSW-45 or hit up a guy named 'couped' on here
c) run the wires thru the firewall (driver's side behind dash above the clutch)
d) run the wires to all four wheelwells (make sure you do it so they can't flap around!)

Ask other Scion tuners in your area for help. Most people on here don't mind lending a hand, plus you learn more about your ride =) Bear in mind, you're asking for help, not a free install.

Can I just go to a pep boys or autozone to purchase the lights? I really have no time to order online and then wait. What demention is a good fit for putting it on top of the tires?

if you want to spend way more than you should, by all mean, go to pepboys. from your original post, it sounded lke you wanted to keep the cost down. Impatience is always expensive.

use your best judgment on the size. they may work, they may not. who knows.

(the real answer to your question is contained in the replies above)
