Default Is anyone actually running an XB with a ZPI Turbo Kit???

Other than the 3 Prototypes that they have out there, is anyone else actually running an XB with a ZPI Turbo Kit? Has anyone ordered one and actually recieved it?

I am still in the market for a turbo kit and am weighing in my options.

Prototype testing comes before Production. You have to give it time to hit the market in quantities. If you can't wait, there is always GReddy.

Then why does ZPI state this on their website???

"There is a two week lead time on these kits. These are for sale now"

This has been on their site for a couple of months already.

I'm sure you can purchase a kit. The lead time probably has something to do with actually having to fabricate it....not 100% sure. If it's in FULL production right now, it hasn't been long. Of course, your question would be best served by someone who actaully works for ZPI, so try contacting them through AIM.

I'm trying to get independent reviews from actual customers who purchased the production kit and not the prototypes. I've read a few threads on people who were waiting for thier pre-ordered kits and have not yet received it - so I'm a little hesitant to place an order. Since the kit has been advertised that it is "for sale now", I'm trying to get as much feedback from anyone that had a pre-ordered kit - since they should have received it by now.
I'm sure that ZPI frequents this forum - since they have so many supporters here, so they can chime in if they'd like.

It would probably still be best served if you try to AIM Kenny, as that is one guy who is always in the garage and by the time he gets through E-mails, phone calls, and Instant messages, he rarely has time to post on the forum. IM is the best way to contact him or anyone at ZPI.

Yes it is posible that the ZPI turbo torch is being passed from one Roadshop installer to another.

Prototype kit put down 180+ whp. That kit does not resemble the "production" kit in any way shape or form though. Of the two pre-production sponsored kits that have been installed on customer cars, neither has been dynoed.

ZPI claims they should see similar peak horse power numbers out of their production kit.

Was that fair enough for you Rythm and Fusion?

Have we seen a Dyno for Tony's supposed 180whp??? Or is this just somthing he is stating, just like his 12 second pass at the 1/4 mile or was that the 1/8 mile.. Dustin you know better than to take anybodies word about numbers with out hardcore proof ( ie.. a dyno sheet and vid of a trip down the track)

Im sure Fusion will get a dyno once his tranny is fixed, he better since I put money towards his dyno, so he could carry on where I left off on the turbo kits. I beleive the new design will hit some where in the same range as the original dyno of the first setup. Yes the turbo and it's location have changed, but the 14b flows very simulair to the 16G ( not exactly the same, but very close). The new location of the turbo will decrease whp a little bit, but will keep temps in the engine bay down and the turbo a tad bit cooler, which will overall help whp to make up some of the loss from it's new placement..

I truly only think time will tell what this kit is made of... but I am a beleiver in it, since I owned one and saw what it did to my POS automatic.. Can only imagine what it would feel like on a 5-speed..

Your xB looks nice in person. Was up there last week and saw it in the shop. Nice wheel choice.
