Im thinking about getting new rims with a staggered fitment for my bsp. Would 18x8.5 (front), 18x9.5 (rear) fit on a tC? I have a 1.5" drop on my car. would there be rubbing issues? And what size tires would fit on those rims?

I am planing to get the Tork revo's staggered http://www.wheelnext.com/default.cfm?action=dspWheel&MODEL=REVO&color=HYPERBLACK
18x8 in front and 18x9 in the rear. 5x100 bolt pattern on 225/35/18 tires in the front and the rear. Is this a good idea? Will it work? I also want to know other peoples thoughts about it. I am on tien s techs. So iam a bit affraid i will rub all the time.

they'll fit... but your going to get some hellacious rubbing. fender rolling and probably the removal of the fenderliner will probably be needed.

that's just what i found comparing the size/offset to my own wheels. the clearances are going o be tight.

its only bad if you screw it up and don't take your time. that is a perminant modification and cannot be undone so be careful if you choose to do it. my call would be just not dot the gigantic wheels.

hey maybe u guys can help me out..i just put my wheels on 18x7.5 with a 42 offset. running 225/40/18 and every one said they wouldn't rub but i do!! nothin serious but it seems like it's coming from the rear on my side...i don't know why it never rubs on the passenger side...when i go over small bumps or while driving and hit uneven pavement..the wheel will rub. it ALWAYS rubs when i make right turns. does any one know why?? i had both rear fenders rolled and STILL rubbing...help me fix this pleasE!!!

Is your fender liner in the correct place?

yah everything seems to be in place....i don't know if this is a stupid question. but am i suppose to go get my lug nuts re-torqued after putting on new wheels? or an alignment re-done?? I just had the wheels for about a day now but i wasn't sure....if that could be a cause...please advise..thanks in advance!

Yes, you deffinately want to make sure your lug nuts are torqued down. An alignment isn't necessary.

Quick question, is there a downside to removing your fenderliner?

It looks weird?

do u think that not re torqing my lug nuts after my wheels were put on could be the problem??

I dunno...maybe.

But if your lug nuts aren't torqued down all the way you may have bigger concerns.
