This is the first mod I have done to the car ... I have been very good and not touched the car for two months ... I guess it is time.

I am in Ohio ... and it's fine. I bought one off of Ebay, and those are the 10k bulbs

I don't get the legal part ... they are the same color as in some of the Lexus models straight off the lot.

 

No most factory cars have 6k some 8k. I dont think I've ever seen any factory 10k.

 

no, they dont make cars with 10K stockers (at least that I know of). It is illegal in most areas.

 

i have 10k too and mines aren't that blue compared to yours

Factory HIDs are rated at 4300K. It's the projectors that cause the blue and purple that you see.

no thats not factory either. Most have 4100-4300k. Which are NOT BLUE!

 

anything above 6000k and up is illegal everywhere im pretty sure. Also, its techinically illegal to run aftermarket HIDs (this includes 4300 and 4500) on a car not equipped from factory with HIDs. The reason why it doesnt seem like its illegal is because most cops wont bother wasting time pulling you over for something so pointless unless you are actually blinding them

 

why is it illegal to put in aftermarket hids if they are 4300 on a car that doesn't come from the factory with them?

 

all these 19 y.o. hid gurus are making my head hurt....talking about glare and blindness....please kiddies....drive behind or even towards a new range rover or especially those new escalades....thats blinding....w/ all the of the TC's in the NYC area NOT ONE of them have blinded me. people need to stop feeding into this projector hype....
