Brake light funky problem!
Hey guys. Lately, I've been getting a problem with my emergency brake light indicator in my dash whenever I accelerate somewhat hard from a stop. The problem continuously persist and I don't know what the heck is going on.
Please do reply as soon as any of you can. This problem sort off irritates me a whole lot! Thanks!

1. remove the shift ****,
2. remove the shifter panel popping it towards you,
3. remove the cup holder panel popping it upward.
4. check the wire going to the button that gets grounded (-) when the e-brake is on.
5. the wire may be getting grounded by hitting the bare metal on the chassis when you accelerate and brake so make sure it isn't severed or stripped, if so...
6. use good ol' 3M elec tape... good luck

hey, i have the same problem, it gets worse in the cold, the light stays on really long. it goes on when i accelerate but when i lay of the throttle it goes away. i'm thinking about taking apart the shifter column and checking the wireing.
