Default turbo or brakes?

Heres the thing. Im building up a turbo kit for my car all custom made, from what ive read on forums and internet websites. The truth of the matter is that im the kind of person that likes to build his car up to handle speed before putting in the speed. The brakes im looking at are:

JBT mini-BBK that go for $1100.00. I know they are very expensive, but i dont care they fit perfectly in 16" rims.

Then again, i could by the turbo, which is pretty much what im missing to send the car to get the manifold and charge pipes done. The turbo is a GT2554R that runs for about $800.00.

I race all the time and obviously brakes are more important than speed because if you cant stop your hitting that wall hard. I know the brakes on our cars are excellent, but these brakes are insane. If you want pictures let me know.

id like pics...you cant do anything else to the brakes first like stainless steel lines, better pads, and fluid to increase braking power enough? do xa's have drum rears or disc?

Since I know your into Auto Crossing, I would say brakes.. Like you said if you cant stop, than your hitting the wall hard.. Take care of the brakes and then add the turbo..

I'd say go for the turbo...but that's just me. You can always compensate by braking ealier and slightly harder.

JSosa... I voted turbo. I did so because I know you have already done everything to your brakes short of the MiniBBK. I think you should invest in the turbo, and then see how your current brake setup handles the higher speeds.

I know you'll probably end up with both eventually anyway. But I think it would make more sense to go turbo first.

^^^^ My brother told me the exact same thing. What he told me (to keep me quiet), was to get a really aggressive set of pads, like Hawk Blues and destroy my rotors for the time being. Then by the time im done with the turbo, do the brakes...
