Ok check it guys. I need help asap. Here's the dig:
I was moving my amp to the other side of the car. My whole system was working perfectly before this. I made extra sure to tape off any wires during the move, as to not short out a fuse. I was moving the speaker wire that connects the sub to the amp, and had to give it a slight yank. Right when i gave it that yank, the head unit turned off. This confused me, because the subwoofer's wire connection really has nothing to do with the head unit. I figured it was probably the result of another cable getting tugged and disconnecting something behing the HU. So I finished connecting the amp and all the good stuff. I go to my hood, and pull out #8 if I can recall correctly (#8th fuse on the diagram, under the hood by the battery.) The fuse was good, but fell in the fuse box. So at that point it was impossible to reach! I got frustrated and went to my local Wal-Mart, and bought a pack of 20 rating mini atm fuses (yellow ones). I drove back home and popped that sucker in, just to realize I was now, back to square one. I have tried everything!! I know that nothing shorted because I would have seen or heard a spark, and I know what I am doing here. I'm not a n00b when it comes to connecting systems. I have tried "power cycling" my car, if ya will. I disconnected the negative battery terminal for 10 minutes. Connect it again, and back to the same s***. I got to the point where I took of the headunit, to see what the problem could be. All the wiring is intact. Nothing was unplugged. I decided to try unplugging it as well, and letting the HU power cycle. Put it back in, and still, no power. I tried holding the PWR button for 5 minutes straight. NOTHING IS WORKING! I dont wanna take it to the dealer and get told they can't help me since I put a really loud system in my car. I can take whatever pics you guys need to help me out, although I don't see why that would be necessary. Please reply to post, or email me @ gio_h_perez@yahoo.com
All help is GREATLY APPRECIATED
