PLEASE HELP! STOCK PIONEER HEADUNIT WONT TURN ON FOR 07 TC
Ok check it guys. I need help asap. Here's the dig:
I was moving my amp to the other side of the car. My whole system was working perfectly before this. I made extra sure to tape off any wires during the move, as to not short out a fuse. I was moving the speaker wire that connects the sub to the amp, and had to give it a slight yank. Right when i gave it that yank, the head unit turned off. This confused me, because the subwoofer's wire connection really has nothing to do with the head unit. I figured it was probably the result of another cable getting tugged and disconnecting something behing the HU. So I finished connecting the amp and all the good stuff. I go to my hood, and pull out #8 if I can recall correctly (#8th fuse on the diagram, under the hood by the battery.) The fuse was good, but fell in the fuse box. So at that point it was impossible to reach! I got frustrated and went to my local Wal-Mart, and bought a pack of 20 rating mini atm fuses (yellow ones). I drove back home and popped that sucker in, just to realize I was now, back to square one. I have tried everything!! I know that nothing shorted because I would have seen or heard a spark, and I know what I am doing here. I'm not a n00b when it comes to connecting systems. I have tried "power cycling" my car, if ya will. I disconnected the negative battery terminal for 10 minutes. Connect it again, and back to the same s***. I got to the point where I took of the headunit, to see what the problem could be. All the wiring is intact. Nothing was unplugged. I decided to try unplugging it as well, and letting the HU power cycle. Put it back in, and still, no power. I tried holding the PWR button for 5 minutes straight. NOTHING IS WORKING! I dont wanna take it to the dealer and get told they can't help me since I put a really loud system in my car. I can take whatever pics you guys need to help me out, although I don't see why that would be necessary. Please reply to post, or email me @ gio_h_perez@yahoo.com
All help is GREATLY APPRECIATED

I had this happen in a similar situation.... except my problem was that although I connected the wires behind the head unit securely.... one actually came loose and I would have never seen it if I didn't rewire everything all over again. Sorry that happened to you. I know what it feels like.
If you put a really loud system in there..... have you seen if your head unit can even handle it? I don't know much about it, but maybe this is a good time to upgrade.

You really need to test the wires at the HU with a digital multimeter, or even a test-light. Check that the constant has 12V, the ignition has 12V when the key is on, and that the ground is good. If those three wires check good at the plug going into the HU, then something is wrong inside the HU and it needs to be replaced.
WRONG, THE FUSE IS UNDER THE DASH BY THE DRIVER. IT'S A 7.5 FUSE BROWN IN COLOR AND TO FIND OUT TRY ADJUSTING YOUR MIRRORS THEY SHARE THAT FUSE. IT COST UNDER $1.80 DEPENDS WHERE YOU GO
