Default Custom LED brake light

Hey everyone,

Now I admit, I don’t own a scion, I actually own a Honda Element...it just suited me better, however I do love modifying and customization as I assume most of you here do. I recently had the idea to create a custom LED tail light. For my own, I spelled out ELEMENT. I decided to post this as a product for Element owners to buy, however not everyone seemed as interested or willing to pay the price as I had thought. Now I'm not a manufacturer, I don’t own a company; I'm just a college student trying to make a buck using what talents he has. Thus, I am here, and offering up this product to all of you. For $50 dollars I would custom design and build a tail light that features a design, or text to your liking with 60 LED's or under. Each additional LED would cost 12 cents extra. Now as I don’t own a Scion, I don’t know all the details of what I would have to do to make this work, but if people are interested, I will call upon some friends to let me take a look at there scion and see what alterations I need to make. If anyone is interested in this, please email me at rhkirchhoff@yahoo.com. Now, because I am just a student getting a good deal from a local electronic store, supplies are limited, especially for LEDs at that price. So in conclusion, thank you for reading this and I look forward to doing business with you.

Rich Kirchhoff.

P.S. Here is a link to the Tale light on the Honda Element forums.

I think the price tag is your problem. $50 is a lot for just modding the upper tail light. Besides there's so much you can do for so much less. That's just my opinion, but nice work.

Oh, I know, I dont disagree, but with the time it takes to make, and price of materials, thats the best I can do if I made it worth my time. But thanks anyhow.

you could have made it alot cheaper and brighter with a simple couple hours and a soldering gun/pc board :-)

Im starting to see that lol. oh well I guess.

anyways, I took a closer look at the scion xB tale light and saw that it was nearly 2/3s or half the width of the Element one...kind of robbing from spelling space, though Im sure Scion would still fit.
