Default JDM fogs with usdm switch?

Can you just use the usdm switch with the jdm fogs and have it work all right?
Every post I see is about modding the jdm switch to make that work, but shouldn't just plugging a usdm switch in serve the same purpose without all the modding? Or am I just really missing the obvious on such a simple fix?

Yes it will work fine the JDM fogs plug into the oem harness in the bumper and use the same circuit.

USDM switch will work just fine. But it'll only turn them on when headlights are on. Many people like to be able to turn their fogs without the headlights being on. Also, the JDM switch looks better and it is illuminated. That's why most people install the JDM switch (and customize the wiring).

That really has nothing to do with using the JDM switch other than having to do some customizing a bit to get it working in the first place. You could wire them to be constant on with the US switch just as well.

You are correct. My post also started with "USDM switch will work just fine".... And that JDM switch looks better.

I just figured that I would cover all the bases. TMI?
