Default What Psi on 18" with 225/40/18 tires?

I recently bought 18" Enkei RPM2 Wheels with 225/40/18 Toyo Proxy 4's online.

They were mounted when I bought them and when I checked the pressure, they were

35psi (not really sure b/c I used those crappy gas station air pump to check it).

I know stock tC tires have 32/29. Should I keep the same psi on my 18" rims as well?

Ppl with 18" wheels, please help me out. Thanks!

I used to run 38-40psi when i had 225/40/18's on my Accord. It makes the ride much stiffer, but I prefer a stiffer ride than risking a bent rim or popped tire.

On the xB, I have 215/40/18's and I still run 38-40psi.

there is a max psi on the side of the tire, stay a couple psi below it.

remember that 18s are optional when you buy the tC. No matter what tire you use, you are still supposed to follow the car recommendation for tire pressure - front 32 rear 29. Just because it can handle more doesn't mean that you want it to. If you go to a tire place for whatever purpose and they adjust your pressure, they will move it to front 32 rear 29 where its supposed to be.

every tire is different and requires different pressure. depends on the tire brand and make you buy.

once you change sizes, you need different pressures. the 32/29 is for the tC 215/45/17 tire size...

But why would you have to change it? 32 psi in the 18" tires is the same 32 psi in the 17" tires... one takes more air, but the final result (pounds per square inch) is the same... but what do I know?

if you get the optional 18s with pirelli pzero nero tires 225/40-18, the tire pressure remains front 32 rear 29...

DIFFERENT TIRES REQUIRE DIFFERENT PSI, do i really have to say it again. this is why ALL TIRES have a max psi marking on the side. yes you might find an 18inch tire that requires the same psi, but chances are you will need to add a few psi. depends on your sidewall, width so on so forth.

^X2. Check the sidewall and go about 5-10PSI lower depending on your ride preference.. I have 225/40-18's with max pressure of 44psi and i do 35psi all around.
