so i just purchased some new wheels and tires but he said i can still change the size of the tire so wat should i go with 225/40/18 nitto neo gen or the 215/40/18 on my trd drop??

 

get the 225's, they fit fine.

 

why not the 215's

 

if it fits, a wider contact patch is better.

what's the size/offset of the wheel they'll be mounted on?

I personally run a 225/40/18 on 18x7.5 enkei RP02's w/ a +48mm offset and tein stech springs with no problems.

 

18x7.5 offset=45

 

you can run my springs just fine w/ a 225/40 on that size wheel.

i like the *slammed* look, but the trd drop isnt going to look bad.

how do they fit in your wheel well with a 45 mm offset?

 

45mm is the same offset as stock

a larger postiive number offset actually sinks the wheels into the wheel wells towards the center of the car. a smaller number is what makes the wheels stick out of the wheel well

 

I know 45 mm is the same as stock, but he has a wider rim.

 

1/2" isn't that much a difference from stock.

 

will the hotchkis lowering kit make the front stick up like the trd drop does i hate that so much it bothers me

 

225/40/18 keeps you close to the stock diameter as well, that way you don't throw off your speedometer.
