Default So I had to buy 4 new tires even though I only needed two

I knew this day was coming but hated thinking about the cost of 18" tires. On the way to work one of my Pirellie P Zeros came apart. It had about 33 thousand miles and I was bad about rotating. I went to the tire place and all they had in 215/35/18's were Coopers! Those tires suck. Every review I read bashed them. I had them put the donut on and ordered 4 new Nitto Neo Gen ZR's which should be here in a couple days. I was faced with a tough decision. The back ones are still good for another 10 or 15 thousand miles, but I didn't want mis-match tires so I got all four new ones. I hate blowing money on tires!! Now what do I do with the back ones??

That sucks!!! Maybe you could sell the other two on ebay. People buy all sorts of stuff on that site even used tires. If I were you I would def rotate your new tires more often.

try this, keep those tires as spares, you never know when you need one (or 2 LOL) they're perfectly good tires, no reason to be tossed out. If not there's always the selling route.

luxfoxe has a good idea, I work at a tire shop and people are comin in all the time without money haha you could bag them up and throw them in the shed ... ( make sure no water collects on them though ) and say the two in the front wear out quick status again or something go ahead and throw the on the get you by till you can ordermore pirellis ( cuz pirelli low pros are the ____ )

their are nothing wrong with coopers.

their is also nothing wrong with mix matching tires, as long as their on the same axle. before you left the tire place, did you specify what tires you wanted? you had that choice. you are a paying customer....

I'd just hang onto them just incase like others have said. You never know. Someone on here may be in your shoes and need one or two with some miles on them and you could end up being their hero.

Thanks for all the comments. At first I was going to go with the Coopers just because that's what they had in stock. Then I thought, I can live with the temp tire for a couple of days while I get what I want. What sucks is all of a sudden everyone I know saying..."Aw man, I could get you those for $300" I don't want to worry about getting a smoking deal. I think this is a good enough deal and I'm getting road hazard which is worth it in Houston. I figure it's pretty normal to be in the $600 dollar range for tires, and mounting.

My tires were about 600 shipped to me here in germany from tire rack. And they are Goodyear Eagle F1's 215/45ZR15's. I personally think thats a good deal.As my father always said you get what you paid for.

so I went in today to check status on the special order. While I was there I asked about 17" rims. Turn out I can get 17" rims and tires for about 160 dollars more than 18" tires alone! Anyone want to buy my TRD's!!!

yup it's crazy how the price jumps up over 17" on rims and tires...why I stuck with smaller wheels (16"). I figure if I get tired of the style. I can replace them for a reasonable price.

Dude I am sorry, but how did you ever get through elementary school using "their" instead of "there"? I know this is just a forum and often people type fast not worrying about punctuation or basic spelling, but D@mn!!

As for the original topic, I agree with some of the others. Keep them for spares, you never know when you will have a crazy blowout that cant be patched.
