Smoked EBay/X3 Tails on Nautical Blue (56K No Way)
So after blowing fuses for the better part of a day, and doing this fix:

(a big thanks to Fhe1079 for posting the fix!)
I finally got them working and installed on the car. The smoking is more subtle than I would have liked, when not in direct light they are pretty dark and blend well with the color, when in direct light you can see the internals a bit easier, but I still think they are a huge improvement over the stock lights.
Here's the pics:

With shipping these were ~$165 on EBay, and except for the wiring fix/hassle, I'm very happy with them overall.

Oh and yes the bastards only sent me one Amber 7440 bulb so I put it in the right light (since it's behind the subwoofer and takes f'n 15 minutes to pull the sub out) and I'm going to find somewhere online that sells the bulb for the other side. I noticed that you can see the difference in one of the pics...
