Default staight pipe too

recently some one posted up a thread about straight piping.

i converted my box to staight piping because i like the sound better and better horse power gain than cat back or axel back exhaustand thats why i sold my tanabe concept G exhaust. (at least i've noticed). thats why i now use a test pipe instead of the cat. and connected to the flang is a 2 1/4" pipe with a stainless steel tip. i'm thinking of cutting the flang off and welding it to the lower part so i can run my piping under the axel so there is not to many bends. for this staight piping i cut of the stock exhaust flang and welded on the the pipe so it can be easy removel if i need to. it is still connected by the stock coupling. feul consumption is the same as having an exhaust. noise level is about 98db normal running and when down shiftring, it's about 115db. alittle louder than my old exhaust which was at 93db. couldn't get the pics of the test pipe because i can't fit the camera under the chassie.

Are you using an 02 simulator? Are you throwing any CELs?

most shop won't do full piping because it's illegal. it won't past emissions. but other than that it won't bother anyone. and cop won't really bother you unless he's a real d!ck

I did this to my box way back then, now got a real exhaust on it. Didnt throw any code, no problems, never had to deal with emmisions.....Texas dosnt have them. As far as loud, my dad heard me leave the house drive 2 blocks away, get on the mail road stomp on it to get to 70MPH and heard evey bit of it will i was to far away!!

yea thats about right, if you stomp on the gas that's what if should sound like. i prefer this over a heavy exhaust. my axel back was like about 15 pounds while this only weighs 6 and has better power gain.

do you have a shot of the back of your box, just to see what it looks like?

will be posted later on. don't have my camera with me. do you mean just bumper down or the whole back. truthfully you can't really see anything form the back. the pipe looks invisible as if it was not even there.
