A Few Questions About the xB
No recalls on anything that I know of... but there was that TSB on the single disc player
as far as what I don't like ... ummmm.... no a damn thing ... I love my bluebox :D

Least favorite thing is probably high cost options and floormats that show wear after 300 miles of driving.
There's been like 2 people with stick shifts that had stalling problems after running the car for a while.
There were a couple people who noticed a "crack" in the plastic trim on the back window area.
The VAST majority have been flawless and run better as miles are put on... at least that's my take from the Scionlife forum.
No recalls when I asked back in September. You can check with a Scion representative on Scion chat at www.scion.com. Live chat works great and while you're there, ask for a free key chain.

a TSB is not a recall. by the way, the squeaking that some xBs have would be considered normal on a domestic cay.
and if you want to check out recalls, look at how many the focus and the beetle had the first year they were out. the xB is a dream compared to those reliability nightmares.

My manual 2005 is running splendidly. Has about 600 miles on it now.
However, I test-drove a manual 2004 at a different dealer, and the transmission was a mess - got stuck in 5th gear during the test - I could return to neutral, but no other gear was available. When I tried to shift to a different gear, it was like I was still in neutral, there was no sense of the gear grabbing, and it would allow me to put it back into 5th only. I wish I'd gotten the VIN number so I could warn others - although the dealership slapped that puppy into the service garage immediately upon my (coasted) return to the lot, and after they verified the problem.

The one thing that bothers me about my xB is no arm rest between the seats, but that's an easy buy on ebay or somewhere. Other than that, nothing else bothers me. I love my box!!
If you dont want to spend 100+ on an armrest, check out the one I made for $12 total. If you have any basic tool knowledge (or know someone who does) you can make it in around 2-3 hours. https://www.scionlife.com/forums/vie...memade+armrest has the pictures and diagrams for the design. I haven't had any problems so far.
I'm loving my xB, no problems with it.
