Default I need a bypass valve...

for my K&N CAI I just ordered I can only find AEM bypass valves will they work or does k&n make them?

i don't think K&N makes any,,, but with the k&n u gettin, u think you'll need the valve? or is it the sound youre looking for?

Unless you are really petrified, look into an injen hydroshield. It will fit over any size filter b/c you can buy different sizes and it doesn't add restriction like the aem bypass valve would.

how does it restrict anything all it has is flaps so if the water pulls weight it flaps open getting air, and they come in many size for all sorts of intakes. get both, the injen is water repallent not water proof and its also alot cheaper then replacing your engine.

Yeah, I acually just read that all the Complete Cold Air Intakes come with a hydro sheild...so I think I'm good...thank guys!

I have no empirical evidence myself, but those who have dyno'd both w/ and w/o have noticed a loss (minor loss), but still a loss in hp. Again, this is not first hand experience - just reporting what i've heard from a reputable source.

I think its because its basically a hole in your intake, you know a leak. maybe thats the slight loss of HP.

hhhmmn, never heard that but if thats the case you could put it on when it rains only. all thoughts better then none.
