I had the privelage to ride in the NG xB. And I must say it's quite comfortable.

Any more impressions? Size/power/handling/ride/interior observations?

 

The rear seat leg room looks like it might be less than 1st gen xB to make more room for the trunk. At least that is my impression from the press photos at Chicago. Can you elaborate on if its same or lager or smaller than 1st gen in certain areas??

 

Let me first say that the drive impression or ride impression is much different from the 1st Gen. From what I can remember the 2nd gen is about 1 foot longer? (?) and 6 inches wider (?). please correct me if I am wrong, but this definitely affected in the turn radius. It feels more like a van, I suppose.

I didn't ride in the back so I didn't get a chance to sprawl out. The console has a higher horizon, it almost felt like riding in a toy car, especially with the mutilcolored console design. Very different from the 1st gen. I'm not sure if the car I rode in was off the line because it did not include a radio.

Automatic, Silver or what ever the official name is. With the Automatic gear shift elevated and protuding from the console it almost looked more like a cockpit than a normal car. I really havent seen anything like it, maybe a little like the Element, but only because it reminded me of the first time I was in an Element and it was also a unique feeling cabin design. The side mirror leds are really cool, and the rear end is quite impressive when you get up close.

We were zipping around a parking lot with other vehicles, so I didnt get a chance to feel the power of the new engine.

how tall are you and if you sat in the passenger seat, where you comfortable? did you knees touch any part of the dashboard...

I ask because my husband is 6'2" and his knees touched the dash on the 05xB and that is why I didn't get that one

 

Was the seat all the way forward? I'm almost 6'4 and have a good 4 inches between my knees and the dash... Weird.

 

was this the driver seat? cause we vsat in a used xB and the passenger seat was pulled,maybe it was broken

 

I am 6ft, and I felt comfortablein the passenger side.
