Default Greddy turbo q's (i know)

I know theres tons of q's out there, and i searched, but most i found where all from late last yr.
i will hopefully be installing turbo on thursday and wondered if the directions that r up on greddy.com tech pg are better than they use to be or the same where others were complaining about the detail. They looked good to me, but i know nothing.
Any thoughts/comments/concerns on the kit? i saw some complaining about the heat shield, and heat wrap. anything else, or can someone elaborate more on those.

whatever other help anyone can offer would be great, since its crunchtime.
thank u

The directions are fine, but they assume you know some things... I watched the shop that installed mine. I hope you have the proper tools and know-how, otherwise you might have problems.

Keep in mind a few things:
1) You need to weld the oil return onto your oil pan
2) You need an ALUMINUM Welder and aluminum flange if you're putting on a BOV.
3) You need to solder the injectors - they're not plug & play.

#1 thing to check is the wastegate. Make sure it opens and closes with no problems. Make sure that the wastegate actuator (the gold thing on turbo) isn't bent or damaged in anyway. Those were the two big things that seemed to make people over boost and blow their engine.

also be careful with the oil fitting that goes in the turbo. You can cross thread it pretty easy if you use the wrong one. That was holding me up in finishing the install of the turbo kit in one day. Not an easy part to find because it's a metric fitting, can't go to your local hardware store to get it.

Zip ties are your friend to hold the heat wrap around the hoses. Make sure you wrap up your a/c and oil return lines.
