Default AEM Cold Air Intake Questions

When i bought my xB, i added on the AEM C.A.I (stupid choice, i know) The Scion dealer told me that it restricts how long you can hold on the gas and that it will not let your RPM's get to high before it automaticly cuts off the flow to the engine or something. I was wondering if anybody had heard about this, I belive it and I don't belive it. The dealership where i bought it sucked so he probably didn't know what he was talking about. Any feedback?

Default NOT!

The CAI is a replacment of your stock air box, which does none of these things. Scion does put a rev limiter on their car which limits RPMs at the top, but not in any normal range of operation. I think the sales person got their features mixed up.
