Help with Oznium-style lighted rocker switches
OK, I've fought it enough, I need help. I replaced the switch blanks in my xB with the Lowe's GSW-45s a while back, and they worked great. One each for the interior lighting, the sub amp, and the foglights. Once or twice I left the foglights on after leaving the car, so I decided to get lighted rocker switches (rather than wire them to the "switched power" fuses in the fuse box). I picked up three GSW-49s, which are the Red LED rockers sold by Oznium. Here's how i wired them:

But the little buggers never light!!! They switch just fine, so they do work, but they never light up. I tried changing the ground point, and even using a known good ground (like the same ones used by the amps or CCFLs), they still refuse to light. What am I doing wrong?
NOTE: the pic says "from battery", but that's for the fogs; the amp switch uses the remote turn-on lead, and the CCFL switch is spliced off the cigarette lighter. Same principle, though. I hope.

I've seen this problem on a friend's xB, we bought lighted switch from radio shack and hooked the switch up before we mounted it just to see if it worked and it did. when we mounted it and reattached the wires and we accidentally got the positive and negative leads mixed up. When the light didn't turn on we discovered our error and fixed it but the light would still not come on. We returned it and got a different one, mounted it and reattached the wires the same way and it worked just fine. Our only guess as to why the first one stoped working was that by connecting the wrong leads we must have blown the LED in the switch.
If this has happend to you then you may need to just buy a new switch.

ok, i just checked oznium.com and you have it wired wrong. Here is what the page says ( http://www.oznium.com/gsw-45-led )
#2: 12v Positive Source (IE battery, fuse block, etc)
#3: 12v Accessory (12v+ to your lights)
#4: Ground (for the LED on the switch)
looking at the picture I can see that you got #3 and #2 mixed up, I wouldnt think that it would matter but it might just be your problem. Try switching the leads and tell us what happened.

Failure! I tried changing the Positive Source and Accessory leads, and they still don't light. At first I thought maybe the amp switch (wired to radio's remote turn-on) wouldn't have the power to light the LED, but the foglight switch had the same failure, and it's running straight to the battery. All 3 switches still work, as far as controlling the CCFLs/amp/foglights, they just won't light the LEDs.
Anyone with lighted switches that worked fine?
