Ok everyone time to make fun of some advertisings. Sometimes, they need to get their facts straight. On the bottom of SL not gonna mention the dealer but it rhymes with Rob Ridge in seattle. Stating he just got in new 2007 xAs.
So in light of this... what are some advertising mess ups you've seen with scions.

 

Why can't someone get new 2007 xA's? It is 2007 right? I know that the 2008 are coming out soon, but as far as I know, they are still making 2007's... I guess I could be wrong. I dunno...

 

As far as I know they are not making the 2007 XA or XB. The XA will be changed to XD and will be a 2008. The XB will keep it successful name but have a makeover and will also be a 2008. So there will be no 2007 XA or XB.

 

there are not 07 xa's or xb's they stopped production after the rs modles of both lines so they went 06 modle year then 08

 

Oh... i didn't know. I have an 07 tc, so I thought they still made the xA and xB in 07. My bad.

 

No they didn't make any 07' xa/xBs. They were left over 06's.
I love the adds that say they can get you a discount on scions. They don't know about the whole pure pricing thing I guess. LOL

 

A lot of sites I have have run across list an '07 xB/xA...kind of funny. You would think they would keep up on this stuff better.

 

Yeah, I REALLY want to buy a car from someone who can't get the /year/ straight. I'm totally sure they're going to give me nothing but success and joy, when they offer a fake discount on a vehicle that doesn't, technically, exist. You'd think they'd pay a little closer attention to something they PAID for us to see.

And talk about the wrong group of people to mess up in front of - I don't know about you guys, but the Scion community is the most up-to-the-minute-informed and tightly-knit car community I've ever seen. Like we're going to miss what YEAR they stopped making them. I can't believe these dealerships would spend the money to snag a banner, and then effectively destroy any chance of getting any business from the banner by essentially pointing out that we know more than they do. It's sad, really. I feel bad.

The absolute worst ad by FAR, however, has to be the banner for www.gosmartgo.com. Yes, advertise what could possibly be the most impractical vehicle ever to cross onto American shores...to a group of people celebrating the fact that theirs is superior in every way. -_- BRILLIANT.

Every review I've ever read has said that the SMART is a horrendous, absurdly uncomfortable, violently impractical little monster...and the xB is, of course, one of the best automotive buys IN THE HISTORY OF CARS...and here some schmuck assumed we'd be interested just because they both look funny. Honestly. They're not even the same kind of funny-looking!
