quick question: when you run your A/C at idle what does the box typically at RPM wise?? thanks

I never noticed a difference with the air on or off. The motor runs the same with mine.

I believe my box idles at 800 or 900...AC on or off has never made a difference i've seen.

Although ive never had it on high/max when i ran it normally i never noticed anything. is overdrive off? could be it....

About 200 RPM less. Volts also drop aprox. .3 .
I'd check for you but it's 30 degrees outside.

In gear or out. When it's in gear it doesn't really change. Outta gear it jumps maybe 100 or so then stabilizes.

mine use to bounce from 600 to 900 constantly when i first bought the car. Now that it has its cherry popped, it doesn't really matter, the idle is the same. I drive a manual.

I didn't notice any difference in the ilde with the Air on or off.

Depends if you get the alternator load down (fans and bat charging) with the AC off then the engine will idle down to 650-640 rpm but as soon as there is enough electrical load the engine rpm will come up a little and with the compressor cycling on and off it will jump up to about 900 rpm plus the radiator fan may kick in also.
