Rear Sway Bar fix for Bumps and Rattles?
Hey guys, first off I want to say hi. I'm fairly new to this forum, I just got my tC a week ago.
I have heard a lot about these bumps and rattles, and didn't notice anything until the other day. I was taking a turn at about 35-40 mph and noticed that the car made kind of like a clicking sound until I straightened out. There was also a little movement involved with this sound. I know that that is pretty vague, but I'm hoping some of you know what I'm talking about.
I had the TRD bar mounted underneath the hood, and I knew that that wouldn't do a whole lot as far as performance goes, but would getting a rear sway bar help reduce if not elminate this little nuance? Also, is this anything I should be concerned about? Or should I just stop having fun when I take turns?
Thanks for any help and/or advice you guys can give me!

first of all, where is the sound coming from? if it is coming from the hatch area, then a rear sway bar will not help. anyone correct me if i'm wrong, but as far as i know no one has been able to fix that rattle in the hatch.
so, if the rattle is coming from the back, no, a rear sway will not help. it will help on the overall handling of the car, but not with rattles.
i'm so redundant.

see if you can duplicate the noise regularly and then bring it to the dealer and shw them. You have a warranty and they will fix it.
A sway bar just lmits hw much the car leans in a corner. It aslo effects under/oversteer. Cars (especially ours) come from the factory with understeer. Understeer is when the car is driven hard to the point where it starts to break lose in a corner. The car will have a tendancy to slide the front wheels straight. Thats understeer. Oversteer is when the rear tries to swing out. The idea is understeer causes you to just slide straight off the road while oversteer could cause you to spin wildly out of control(thats what the goverment seems to think anyway) I persoanlly cant stand understeer. Its easier for a rookie driver to correct (you panic slam on the brakes and it transfers weight foreward to the wheels that are sliding) but thats all personaly prefferance. I enjy a car with oversteer, im much faster in it. When the rear starts to slide accelerating actually pulls it back in. BUt if a rookie driver is in oversteer situation and panics and hit the brakes it creates a pendulum effect and you will spin very fast. I had the trd bar on my last car set to the hardest setting and the car had very (surprisinly) neutral handeling. I could basicaly choose over/under based on how i initiated teh turn.
but anyway, if you have a noise try and get to the point where you can duplicate it and bring it to the dealer. My 06 squeaked and rattled and did all kindsa things but my 07 is quiet. Seems they fixxed the hatch and sunroof rattle, at least in mine. If you want to track down the rattle have a friend sit in the back of the car while you drive.
