My first FAIL please help! Electrical diagnosis
What's up guys thought I'd ask the local scion owners before I took it to the dealer....
Ok so here's what my dumb*** did, I picked up a subwoofer and amp the other day and I was attempting to install yesterday. So when I pulled out the spare and other trunk parts I found my car was already wired for subs, I was like sweet!, all I need to do now is just plug inthe amp and subs. So I went over to the engine bay and found the already installed power wire and I added a fuse and connected it to the battery.... THIS IS WHERE I ____ED UP...I didn't take out the fuse first and also I trusted the already installed wiring. so the fuse blew of course an now my car has been dying at idle...so yeah I can still drive the car but I have to kinda hold the gas down a lil at idle in order to keep the car running... I'm thinking it's a fuse or relay of so e sort but I'm just not exactly sure where to start...so yeah I feel pretty stupid about his whole ordeal...any help at all would be appreciated greatly.
Thanks in advance

Just a couple weeks ago there was a similar thread due to a possible short

Resetting the ECU seemed to temporarily fix the idle but the MAF was toasted.
Hope this helped!

Hey thanks guys,
so reseting the ecu worked...I talked to the tune up tech at the dealer I work at and he said to clean up the throttle body, let it run for like 5 minutes, then disconnect the battery and let it sit for like 15 minutes to reset the ecu... and after a short drive it was all good!
So I guess what happened was that I spiked the voltage either at the ecu or maf sensor and that threw it off until I reset everything and cleaned the tb ...
Thank u all for your help I really appreciate it
Next time I'll slow down and make sure I don't skip any steps lol
