diy engine build question

They "look" really good. Pistons are clean. Did you do a compression (leak down) test? That will really tell you what's going on. But for the looks of the piston tops and cylinder walls I'd say you're in good shape. Get stock size pistons (save on machine work), get a lower compression (with a turbo it will make tuning a little more forgiving if you make a mistake), and throw it back together with new rods and bearings. If you are not pressed for time (or $$) get a port and polish on the head and valves.
Other than fueling and tuning, have fun.
Great job going this far with it.

i totally agree and everyone i've showed this too also .. says the same thing.
this person/company is selling engine as low mileage engines when in actually they have been rebuilt. and the fact that the balance shaft and oil passage has been blocked up makes me want to return it..it been modified from factory.
i was expecting and unmolested low mileage used engine..

okay so this engine isn't an 07 engine.. because it doesn't have the oil piston squirters. not what i ordered but... probably still usable??? all the 2azfe motors are interchangeable correct?
on another note more parts arrived:
i decided to have the block sleeved also..

moving along
After some research.. decided to go with Wiseco pistons and Brian Crower rods. Spent some time looking for an upgraded fuel rail....... Aem's is discontinued but luckily I was able to score another custom made one.... so all the parts needed for the upgraded fuel return system is complete.
on another note: Decided to keep the rebuilt engine as a spare. found a local guy selling engine core from an 08 that had the piston squirters so I'm going to build on that instead..
so what's next........ get the block to the machine shop for the rebuild and have darton sleeves installed.
