AEM Cold Air Intake and TRD Sport Muffler Installed!
it has been quite an eventful weekend and my AEM CAI and TRD muffler arrived!
i went to a local muffler shop to get the TRD exhaust installed cause backing up into a curb seemed like a pretty dumb idea. and frankly i am too fat to yank out the stock exhaust with the car on the floor. i blame mcdonalds.
i arrived home and after shutting the car off, the muffler started to smoke! it seriously was billowing out of the tip. but i know its normal and hasnt smoked since.
sound clip:
smoke clip :
then i got a jolly box with some really pretty AEM logos all over it. wonder what it is??
AEM provided some really super instructions so anyone can install this. i didnt use the provided screws for the MAF sensor cause i didnt have such a small hex key so i just reused the OEM screws. i took out the battery and the bumper just cause i felt like it would have been easier. and i would have been to fat to crawl under the bumper to get the filter on anyways...

Looks good. Sparks has side vents now for the bumper in case you wanted to get some air flow to your CAI.

those look like they have polished/silver tips. personally i dont really like the billet look...
i wish TRD/toyota would make replicas of the one in the TRD intake for both sides. crappy plastic look is better than billet look IMO
