do i take it to a shop or...?
i have a trd exhaust on my 2nd gen xb, and say a clip on youtube, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XtaHAfARuEI (sorry, whoevers video im using)
but i saw it and got jelous. ok so he said he took out the original resenator and replaced it with a cat. ok im a noob wit this exhaust stuff soo how the efff do i do this, how do i take off the original resenator, and put in a cat. and yes i know he has strup headers.
ill get those soon. please help

take it to a muffler shop and they will do the work but you are better of letting them know that you would like a bolt on setup dont let them start cutting your oem stuff cause it will void warranty once the dealer sees it has been cut so if you ever get in trouble you can just bolt the oemstuff back

Gentlemen, we only have one resonator, one muffler and two kitty cats.
The TRD exhaust system is considered an axel back. Your resonator is apart of the axel back system.
What I assume coryjames is talking about is replacing the second cat (as the strup header usually doesn't have a cat on it) with a hi flow cat. This is no a resonator, just a cat.
Replacing this cat with a hi flow cat along with a nice header will allow much more flow through your exhaust system.
