i bought every single warranty out there for mine. Bumper to bumper, cosmetics, paint, tires...you name it. Gives me a peace of mind really more than anything else. Because I have never owned a scion before so didnt know what to expect.

Also get LoJack. I never have to lose sleep over my car for the next 10 years atleast and thats a good feeling.

I tried to look through all my invoices to see how much i paid for lojack but i couldnt find it. But the main reason i got it was because I got the Release Series 7.0 and the car is bright yellow...so I thought it attracts unnecessary attention and LoJack might help me sleep at night.

Also LoJack is a monthly (or annually cant remember) payment so at anytime you feel like you dont need it just go ahead and cancel it.

But definitely get the maximum warranty. I know its not cheap but believe me you will be glad you did. Just a huge burden off your shoulders knowing that you're covered.

There are other things such as clear bra services that clear vinyl to protect the paint on the front of your car. I personally was 50/50 on that. Unless you plan on doing a lot of highway driving its not worth it. I believe its around $400 if i can remember correctly. Ive owned tons of car in my life and I never needed a clear bra.

Good Luck!

well, im bypassing the dealer with clearbra and going down the road to the guy who actually does it.

900 for entire hood etc everything facing forward (alaska has high prices) and im debating doing entire car 2k

i want to get a longer warranty than 7/100k i would do like 10/200k if i could or so. even if its 2200ish. just for peace of mind.

anyone have info on the extended rates and if they have longer ones than 7 years?

Just food for thought, i have never heard of a real bumper to bumper contract that they sell you. Read it and i bet you will find exclusions somewhere in there. Just letting you guys know if its extended its not bumper to bumper.
