Mine came with Goodyear Eagles.

I've got the TRD Wheels ordered and most pics I've seen of those have Toyo Proxes.

They come with Goodyear Eagle RS-A or Bridgestone Turanza EL400 tires in 205/55-16.

I have heard bad things about the Bridgestones, but the Goodyears aren't exactly spectacular...they were just average in every way.

Which tire you get seems random. Some people seem to think it varies by area, but when I was at the dealer, there were 2 with Goodyears and 3 with Bridgestones.

So if I want to be proper, I need to buy new tires for the back. Should I be looking for the same brand and model tires as the front, or can I buy something different for the back (with the same rating)?

It might be best to match the front tires but certainly not necessary. Especially since you're going with staggered wheels anyway. I would find a set of 225/50/16 tires that match up pretty well with your stock tires and since you'll have an extra set for the front, you should have enough rubber for the next 50K+ miles.
