Pocket Bikes

I was thinking of getting one.. A regular 49cc one would do, but I kind of want a 110cc super bike though seeing I can get the x15 or x18 for under $500 brand new.. I just want something to buzz around on.. Any suggestions?

where would you buzz around with them?
from what i know you cant go on the street with them...
is sidewalk ok??

Save up some more $$$ and get a real bike, not a toy.

Besides, they are illegal to operate on public streets in the Peoples Republic of California:


Pocket Bike: Prohibited Use
21720. A pocket bike shall not be operated on a sidewalk, roadway, or any other part of a highway, or on a bikeway, bicycle path or trail, equestrian trail, hiking or recreational trail, or on public lands open to off-highway motor vehicle use.


Added Sec. 3, Ch. 323, Stats. 2005. Effective January 1, 2006.

i know theyre illegal on the streets/sidewalks here in CA. but i never said where i was going to use it... I was planning on keeping it at my gf's other house in tj. lots of room to ride there. and it'll give me something to do while we're there on weekends or what not..

and i don't think i'll ever get a real bike. my parents would kill me before i die on the bike. lol.

But your parents are fine with a PB?

They are more dangerous than a regular bike because you are much harder to see on them, plus they have no real acceleration compared to a RB as well.

I have a pocket bike!They are nothing but a good time. I bought one at a garage sale a while ago and drive around the neighbor hood a lot. Cops really don't care unless your driving on main streets or if someone in the neighbor hood gets annoyed and reports you.
Do be careful though it is hard for cars to see you.

get a 125cc. i had a 125cc pitbike with 14inch and 12inch wheels it hauled... about 55mph. took it on trails as it was red sticker.

i had a 49cc when i lived in cali, but cops kept gettin called on me, then i moved to wyoming, they were perfectlly legal there and i had a blast riding it around everywhere.

im going with a 49. someone just reminded me that even if its not illegal in TJ they might just wanna take it for themselves. lol. so if that happens i wont lose out so much. and then if i ever find the time and place to ride here in socal i'll probably get a 110
