I usually never trust my car to a car wash but since it was 34 degrees and my car was dirty, I decided once couldn't hurt too bad. Of course I find lots of tiny scratches all down the drivers side. What are some product recommendations for buffing all of this mess out? Any advice is much appreciated.

for minor scratches I'd use scratchX.

even when I use Quixx which I swear by it (absolutely love the stuff), I always run by with a scratchX afterwards.
Quixx is really strong stuff so I'd try scratchX first before moving on to Quixx.

mcguires site has a very detailed instructions on using scratchX.

We arent allowed to wash our own cars here in north carolina right now so i took mine to a touchless car wash. It wasnt too bad.

I too live in North Carolina and bought my 08 FM three days before the water ban. So none the less my car has not been washed since I bought it.

Wooooops I just touchless washed my car to get a layer of dust/crap from the leaves falling off, took it home and hand washed it, took it back to the touchless to rinse once more, then waxed it..

Water ban my butt.

That is what I plan on doing from now on.

I also just bought ScratchX, so in a few days I think I'll give my tC a thourgh washing followed by some treatment from ScratchX and finally a good waxing for the nearing snow season.

we can use water, just not for certain things. like no washing cars and watering lawns and stuff like that. Today they were saying they are even going to ban carwash places even if they recycle the water.

I went to a touchless car wash once... Spent 12 bucks and as I went in the jets went to clean the bottom of my car. I heard a loud bang. I went in the car wash after my car was done and found a half inch wrench was laying on the jets and hit the bottom of my car. I was ____ED!!!

you dont need to use water, I wash my car once every 2-3 months.
Just use a duster and spray detailer and it takes 15 minutes to get it to shine like its just been waxed.

after a good thorough detailing, it takes minimal effort, but nonetheless a constant maintenance to keep the vehicle clean.

there are many waterless wash products available on the market that works like a quick detailer where you spray and wipe of with microfiber towels.

of course it works best if the car isn't extremely dirty.. where a water wash would be needed.. but taking care of the car consistently is easy if you wipe it down weekly or daily.

i know a few people who haven't washed their car for years, but they wipe the car down everyday.. and the car looks CLLEEEEEAAAN.

yea,
I have to daily dust the car and spot detail bird and bee poop off.

and every couple of days I just detail the entire car.

its ridiculous how anti water the surface of the car is. I tried washing it the other day and it just slides off, leaving almost nothing but few tiny beads of water.
