does the 1st gen xb alarm for an 06 work for xbs without steering controls !?

i dont see what the steering controls have anything to do with the alarm but i could be wrong...

There is a difference.Part numbers are different also.

There was a thread that I read and the guy installed a RS 3.0 alarm in a non audio controlled xb. The horn part of the alarm wouldn't work. Makes sense that there is a wiring difference in the harness.

the wiring is different.

I'm not sure since I installed on a 04-05, but I do know there is a wire that goes straight into the harness for the steering wheel, I could see that affecting a huge part of the system.

i have audio controls and installed the alarm with audio controls. they're 2 different part numbers so you might have a problem, not sure what it would be though.
