Recommendation for new rotors and pads

hi guys, hope you guys can help me out on this one. my brakes have been squeaking like hell lately. i'm guessing its due to the brakes overheating, but how could the brakes be overheating only after three to four stops? i took the car into Toyota and wasted $25 just to be told my brakes were fine ***ahem obviously they're not***. i'm considering purchasing new brake pads and possibly slotted/drilled or slotted and drilled rotors. i've been considering brembo rotors and hawk pads. any recommendations please? thanks guys.

Centric Rotors( Same rotors StopTech uses, BUT cheaper) & Porterfield R4-S pads...

I have the PowerSlot Rotors!

Power Slot is now owned by Centric as well and also uses Centric blanks

i was only http://www.killertc.com/ and they have rotors made by stoptech that seem to cost the least so far out of all the other brands. anyone used stoptech rotors before? is it better to go slotted or drilled? i've heard that drilled rotors have the tendency to crack (i'm assuming cheap rotors).

how long have you had your stoptechs? any excess sound? what kind of pads are you using in combo with the new rotors?

I 2nd porterfield's R4-S pads (carbon/kevlar material and just awesome!).. you will thank me after you get them :D

Brakes need a break in period... sounds like the OP glazed the pads/rotors, Toyota shoulda been able to fix it.

My conservative goal, that previously served me well, shall be: Raybestos PG+ brakepads, PowerSlots, & stainless steel brakelines.
