Why remove the rear wiper and leave the washer nozzle on? Without the door handles the side are very plain needs some nice multi colored graphics to break up the plain flat panels. I am not downing the vehicle just my opinions When there are becoming so many of these boxes it is hard to get something different but this is well on the way to being different I give it an A+ for not being covered with off the shelf stuff.
i love the look, but some things just didn't look right.
not trying to be picky just making observations (because i want to do the sahved look too)
1. when the factor stamps out the door handle holes, it dimples a large area.
(see the third pic, the pass side of the two tone). you can follow the dark line and when it breaks up, this is the dimple from stamping.
it should have been filled in better. (it is less visable in the 4th pic, but still there)
2. the rear hatch looks flawless (what's with the line???)
3. the 5th pic shows the most disturbing thing of the paint job. here we see a three quarter rear view with a hot lava in the back ground.
if you look at the hot lava it looks shinny, and very crisp clear reflection (you can make out the dude standing there with a camera).
if you look at the side of the two tone (in the same pic) it is very blurry, not crisp but feels flat. (looks like it needs blocking and polishing)
itsalmost as if it still need the clear coat (the tape on the hatch where the black needs to be filled in leads me to this idea. but i would not think the painter would paint it up to this point and let the car out of the paint booth only to clean/prep it again to clear coat it)
over all i say it was a good job (not great but still nice)

I would also like to remind everyone this is not mine, but a friend's
a bright sunny day always makes things look better.
i can see the diff. the hot lava (right next to the brake light) there is a nice sharp line of a persons reflection. but even the full on rear shot, you can not see a crisp edge of a reflection.
the first pic of it painted, the hot lava in the back has a sharper feel. the two tone one in front does not (there is a persons reflection by the headlight, it feels all fuzzy/blurry)
if the paint is 'fresh' it may still flaten out and get crisper, as it dries....
if that is smarass's ride (i think you said it is) i will have to check it out when he opens up his shop in atco.

looks damn good...
A couple things which would make it better (IMHO):
1. Get a spoiler, (OEM or OEM style carbon fiber... this will also cover the wiper fluid nozzle)
and 2. Claybar and Zaino the holy hell out of it
Good Job!!

im sorry i thinks it ugly the paint looks horrible and looks like 100 paint job, why buy a new car and totaly change it and make it more plain than the car already is, im totaly up for custom jobs and being different, but that just looks ugly, you should have added a body kit before shaving it to give the car a different look, than i think it would look pretty cool but a shaved stock xb aint getn the job done, you gots to step up ur game, and one more thing i would ask for a refund on that paint job, i paint cars for a living and that looks like spray paint
