Another reverse question...
Ok.. maybe I'm the only one here, and if so the thing needs to get to a dealership, but whenever I put my car in reverse (5spd) no matter how hard I step on the clutch, no matter if the car is warm or cold.. I get this extremley loud clanking noise when I put it in reverse. Sounds like whole transmission fell out of the car.. once its in gear, its fine, but that noise while going into gear is bothering me... anyone else?
it happens to me when i am still moving and trying to put the car in reverse. also in the morning it helps if i go through all the gears first then into reverse. if that doesnt work then i dont know.
do you slam it into gear? Or do you do it gentally?
I normally shove it into R until i feel a little resistance then it pops right in. If it wont go in, i put i into 1st let the clutch out alittle then try again.
Reverse doesnt have synchros like the other gears.
