Default Shift Light

I'm wonderinf if it would be possible to Put in a LED that would work as a shiftlight.

MY EXAMPLE: is like an 06g35 has a red little light in there gauge cluster that can be adjusted and at a certain RPM. is beeps and Shines red. the light is not big at all.
maybe the size of a dime or smaller.

So my question is how hard would it be to do someting like that?

Im a NOOB AT ELECTRONICS

DOES ANYONE DO THIS WORK IN SOCAL?

I've thought about making a shift light using a MSD RPM activated switch, then just drilling a little LED into the dash somewhere:

LOL way to be a ****

but i guess you got me.. i wasnt being clear

i meant using the whole gear like redlining..which would cause the shift light to come on.
i figured most intelligent people would understand what i meant

Actually, in my car I can set it to come on at whatever RPM I desire. I was just saying it gets old. I figured most intellegent people would understand what I meant, I didn't think I had to dumb it down for you.

i usually do not get involved in many threads

but when we have the option to own dumb people i just cant resist!

so you know that YOU set the shift light

why would a shift light come on at red line? peak performance is not at red line, maybe in the F&F world you live in but not in real life

^^loll i didnt realize you could set it to any rpm.. thought it was only suppose to come on so you know when to shift which is normally before you hit the redline.

which is why i thought if you got annoyed of it.. you must do it often. which brought up the question do you almost redline all of the time while doing normal everyday driving..

i did understand what you were saying, i just didnt understand your reason for being annoyed so you just failed at your attempt to be funny...

Actually, I did dumb it down for you since you never even got it to begin with. But it's all cool though. Learn something new each day.

you usually set them at the peak HP so if you have a 6K redline its usually around 5000-52000 for the peak after that if starts to fall again
