Tires rubbing on the wheel well or springs dont have enough "cushion" room when they compress and bottom out.

I have the same problem except I have Tein S-Tech springs. It doesn't seem to effect performance but it is annoying.

it might be your bumpstops... check to see if they are still good,
i had the same problem and found out they were my bumpstops(they split in half down the side)
it wouldn't hurt to check'm

you know what else it can be ....
the bolt on the top of the strut under that lil rubber cap ...
tighten it a lil more ...real tight , that might fix it..

It's the big bolt on the top of the strut. Mine did it when it got loose. I think its from not using an impact wrench to tighten that nut., since the stud spins in the strut, it makes it hard to get it hand tight. (even though I'd have sworn my were tight, when I installed my springs, and checked them about 500 miles later). It may need some locktight.
