Default check this mess out

this came out of my 06 tc at 16 psi and still building boost when it blew..... it had weisco forged 89mm, bored 20 over with stock rods and stock crank.. 440 cci injectors ( yes i know way to small it was done a year ago and the guy that tuned it put it at 17 psi and said thats safe for a daily driver) now after a year of school and basically learning boost i relized before it even blew that the injectors were way way to small at that boost plus with stock rods... but you live and learn.. buid number 2 and yes i said number 2 i bought the car a year and 4 months ago.. i blew it up the first time only a month after buying it.. and it ran at 17 psi with 440 cci injectors for over a year and thats with doing autocross and street racing once in a while.. i think thats pretty impressive for the conditions its been under.... enough with the talking heres what your waiting for pics....

thats what i said dude.. i thought the number on the dyno sheet was wrong when i got the car back from the tunner but i figured i was wrong.. guess not.. said a was making 220 whp and 230 trq something around that range.. i figured that was at like 7 psi.

Yea I think that rod pic is the best thing ive ever seen in my life! And yea I cant see 440's with any turbo at 17psi, you wouldve been running at >14 afr and wouldve noticed something being wrong. The numbers you listed sound right for 7 psi - but def not 17.

ill get some more pics of the internals when i get done with the wire tuck iam doing on the car now while the motor is out. lets just say i am going to ptuning for my next tune.. should be getting 350 to 400 hwp at 17 psi not a punny 220.. lession learned lol.. the only thing i cant do is tune and bore the block which sucks cause the tuning is the part that f**ks up the car........ this time around iam going with cp pistons, manley turbo tuff i beam rods, stock crank and stock head...... any ideas what psi i could push with the stock fuel pump and fuel rail? what injectors should i use at that psi? and what kind of power would i be looking at?

this one fails in all levels.. 440cc will max before 10 psi lol.. keeping the rods stocks too, its the weakest link on our motor..

Balance delete is a must. You'll be in the 750cc injector range at that power, maybe 900 depending on the turbo. Stock pump and fuel rail are good to about 320 whp. Anything more and you'll run into problems with heat and half tank scavenge issues from what I've heard.

seeing as ur still new kind of and learning. if you do indeed get a build with Manley Rods and CP pistons, please get the rest of the build in ACL or Clevite Bearings and ARP Headstuds all which can be found on ptuning or dezod websites. Also while your at it get a walbro fuel pump ATLEAST its like 100 bucks.. and if you want to save some cash get K1 Rods from dezod.com i had mine at 430whp and they were perfect after beating the ____ out of the car for some time. i will stand by the K1's. Id suggest getting ATLEAST 700cc injectors, nothing lower if your expecting some nice power. Oh, and get a new tuner.

iam somewhat new to boosting but i will say i know a decent amount.. when we built the motor the second time... it wasnt me that built it more like my dads plains.. well now hes on deployment and is my turn to build.. the pump and fuel rail is what i do need.. that would be the only thing that would be holding me back from 20 psi.. the turbo i have on it now is the zpi 16g turbo and yes i know get rid of it.. arp main studs and head studs will be what iam going with.. iam also getting a copper head gasket, suppose to be top of the line.. i am on a budget.. ive already invested 2300 bucks into the build and thats just bearings, rods, pistons and labor.. the head, main, and head gasket i still have to buy.. my budget was 3k... looks like iam kinda screwed there... ptuning will be my tuner this time.. they told me i could safely run 20 psi on a dd.. but i would have to upgrade fuel system, rail and injectors.. iam currently running a air to liquid intercooler and thinking of switching to a front mount.. how much could i get for that? also the remaining 3 weisco 89mm pistons, do you think anyone would buy them and if so how much? just curious, i have to come up with something so i can finish this build. as promised heres some more pics..
