Default A Work in Progress

Hello all. I have been working on my '06 tC audio project for a while now and finally have some junk in the trunk

My buddy and I finished the raised floor this weekend.

There's a JL Audio Stealthbox under there with the spare tire so it's broken into 3 panels for easy access. The main goal was to add a sub and not lose much trunk space in the process and have the spare tire just in case, yet have the amps and everything else look good at the same time. A car PC will be added soon as well, more details to come on that. I'm sorry for the lack of details on the components, I'll post them soon. I think it's coming along nicely, what do you think?

Thanks for the approvals!

We screwed the amps into a board that was inside the length of the panel edges. We raised that base to the desired height so the amps were flush with the surface pretty much. They bulge over the surface just slightly with the contour that they have. Here's a pic before it was raised up and secured from the sides with screws.

A little carpet application:

We built feet for all 3 panels to raise everything up to the right angle. The floor is angled uphill from the trunk lip to the seats actually, maybe 5-10 degrees to clear the spare tire. Here's a rough bottom pic and the spare mounted over the sub. I want to carpet the underside and paint that ugly yellow spare black eventually:

I'm not an audio junkie but did you put something under the spare? The spare is upside down in your trunk.

I have a JL Audio Stealthbox under the spare tire: http://www.jlaudio.com/car-audio-stealthbox-scion-tc-scion-tc-generation-1-05-10

The spare tire shrouds over it like a bell.

*EDIT* JL Audio's site has changed, right now the link above will redirect to the homepage, once you are redirected there, you will need to paste the above link into the same browser. Pretty lame if you ask me.

I figured it was probably the stealthbox. Yah, get that rim painted. I hate that everyone stares at it when you have a flat.

Hello again to all that have been following this work in progress. Nice weather is amongst us again and it's time to get back to the grind. So the car PC is ready to go pretty much, just looking for a good weather weekend where my buddy and I have no scheduling conflicts.

Also, my original battery is starting to flake out after 6+ years now, so I'm upgrading to a XS Power D2400. Check out this post for details on that: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/boa...or-shouldnt-i/

Current To Dos:

Battery Replacement
Big 3 Wiring
Cap Wiring
Car PC Install (So Many Parts)

I'll take some pics to keep ya'll updated.

Wow I failed on most of my promises but that system freagin punched just enough when I had it in there. I so miss it now that I sold the '06 tC and got a '13 Subaru BRZ

Big/tiny work to do there now.

I still have the JL Audio sub and amps, capacitor, mad feet of quality cable and accessories along with the finished deck. Make me an offer if you are interested.
