I'm glad that helps. The FR-S has been busy going on "tour" locally here in OC area and has a tight schedule. We'll try our best to get photos of what you are requesting.

As for the exhaust arrival, we're still R&D the optimal set up but we do plan on coordinating the release with the release of the vehicle. Imagine buying the FR-S the day it's available and installing a GReddy exhaust in your garage that evening! How does that sound?

how was the build? was it an easy platform to work on
The build was very exciting and we felt very privileged. We only had 3 days to work on the car and our dedicated R&D staff pulled it off by working 12-15 hour days! We also want to give shout outs RAYS and Hankook for taking care of us on the wheels and tires.

The platform is easy to work on so we are very excited to see what kind of builds are to come!

That sounds stellar!

I think you guys should come up North and tune our (Toyota Canada) prototype...it's begging for some fun-bits!

Default GReddy tuned FR-S makes public debut (Pic & Video)

For those of you that attend Cars and Coffee then you know what to expect. It's a weekly gathering of car enthusiast that bring their collections ranging from exotic sport cars, customs, vintage to everything in between. On rare occasions a manufacture will bring out their prototype or their latest and greatest to be on display. This past Saturday was no exception as Scion and GReddy decided to make a last minute trip to C&C with the GReddy tuned 2013 Scion FR-S. Unless you've been following us on Twitter (@GReddy_Power), you wouldn't have known about this unannounced visit. It was the first public viewing of this vehicle allowing everyone to get up close and personal. Some lucky attendees even got to sit in this vehicle to get a first hand feel for ergonomics and they were not disappointed! The car received much attention from all generations and import to domestic fans alike. To some, it was the first time seeing the vehicle they've been reading in much anticipation for the past 3 years, while for others it was seeing something foreign for the very first time (like the guy that commented "It must be a new 'Sky-on' "). Regardless, the FR-S was a crowd favorite and definitely was the highlight that morning!

Sooooooo sexy.

Greddy Staff, are the 225/35 Front and 245/35 Rear the best fitment for the FR-S if I want 19's?

Also, wouldn't 19x8's and 19x9's be a better fit for 225/35 and 245/35 respectively?

Wow Toyobaru make great cars these two Manufacture's should've done this long ago but I guess my generation are the lucky ones.

Once again Greddy has the magical touch it is definitely a head turner with those wheels,exhaust and suspension as well.

I'm waiting to see the turbo kit setup.

I do like the idea that you're ready for when the vehicle is available/launched at the dealer. I think you guys were ready when our 1st gen tC's came out back in 04.

The tires look more like they should on that car, gives it a much better "stance"!

Also, I know it's a new car, but what wax/polish did you use on that paint job? Looks excellent!

I was dead set on getting the Blue!!! Thanks GReddy for changing my mind to Black. My tC is Black so I already love it. Wifey is giving me a hard time because it will be another black car. But DAMN does the black make it looks like it's an exotic.

BRZ....umm...not so much..lol. FR-S is definitely a lot sexier.

i must say it does look VERY good in black, I have been really wanting a red car next, though that blue is beautiful!
what is the bolt pattern btw? i heard 5x100 but never read where that was coming from.

Thanks for all the compliments!

@larrymarket - we can confirm what rhythmnsmoke mentioned about production bolt pattern and the adapter. As for tire fitment and running 19's, the selection we decided with is a good set up for street performance. There's a good balance between form and function.

@sciontc_mich - The paint is original (metallic black) from the factory and is called "Raven". You can check out more color options if you visit www.frs-scion.com. Anyone that has owned a black car understands it's a lot of work to keep it clean. We use Mothers Product to help keep it spotless.

Well this changes things! What size adapter were you running with the car and who makes them? If the wheels were a +45, a spacer/adapter needs to be factored in now!

Hey guys! If and when I get this car, I'm starting to think that 19's will be too big for me considering it will be my daily driver. @GreddyStaff will I still need wheel spacers if I want to run 18x8's in the front paired with 235/40 tires, 18x9's in the back paired with 255/40's?

I'm a noob. I apologize if I'm not completely educated in all this tech

Dear GreddyStaff: i just want to start off saying i love you. secondly i would like to know what steps have been taken to bring your afore mentioned turbo kit to reality. has R&D begun? or is this just something that greddy plans on doing? are there restrictions holding you guys back like say scion corprate until the car is released? i look forward to your reply. :D

Adapter size was 15mm or 20mm. I can't recall off the top of my head but I'll check with R&D. There's a handful of manufactures that make them but we suggest checking out MACKIN IND. who distribute RAYS Wheel and other wheel related accessories.

235/40 and 255/40 shouldn't be an issue on your preferred wheel size however the offset on your wheels will influence whether you need spacers or not.

There's a lot of questions regards to wheel and tire fitment. Wonder if we should start a thread in the appropriate section?

Syldrin, thanks for the support!

We do plan on developing a turbo kit in the near future. To answer your question "has R&D begun?", maybe . Before we prototype or develop anything, thorough research needs to be conducted. Upon analyzing the data and market, the project will advance into the next step. It's a step by step process that can't be rushed to ensure quality is applied. This principle applies to our entire product line and not just turbo kits.
