Default Flywheel noise??

Here is my case, I took my boosted xB to a really good friend and performance mechanic of mine to install a Fidanza 4 puck w/springs clutch and a fidanza lightened flywheel. The thing now I hear a light metal to metal grinding but when I took it back to him he said that some brand of flywheels make that noise.... I had an ACT one installed on my 91 CRX and it never made noise, so my question is could it be true has this ever happened to anyone.... By the way I've also had a losse flywheel and its a clunking noise not a scraping noise so I'm ruling that out, for now. Thanks in advance guys

So I wrote an email to the guys at Fidanza and this is what they said (by the way they replied extremely fast)

Good morning,

As your mechanic stated when changing over to a lightweight flywheel some gear noise is expected, this is mainly due to the weight loss and rotational mass. This allows for a bit more backlash in the gears and that is the noise that you are hearing On any given manufacturer and model this will be noticeable, and on any of the dual mass flywheel replacements it is even more pronounced. It is unfortunate that there is no procedure which can correct this noise, it is just one of the trade offs that comes with a performance product. If you have any other questions please feel free to contact me directly at:
