bog down when first take off
06 scion xb when i first start it and put it in gear and push the gas pedal the car will bog or sluggish but once it runs for awhile its fine i just replace the sparl plugs and still doing it...what could it be?
Just my 2 cents, but we need to eliminate some possible causes.
How many miles on your car?
I'm sure you have the right gap 0.031 on your spark plugs.
Check your engine hoses air/vacuum hose for leaks or needed replacement.
Have you ever changed you $12.00 PCV valve?
A stuck open valve or leaking PCV hose will cause a lean air fuel ratio and driveability issues like surging. When the valve is removed from the valve cover, a vacuum should be present at its opening. When your thumb is placed over the vacuum leak the plunger should "snap back" into the valve. When removed the PCV valve should rattle when shaken. Please note that if the valve does not rattle when shaken, it is oil sludged and must be replaced.
DIY xB Fuel Filter Change $60.00, which is right under the rear seat cushion https://www.scionlife.com/forums/showthread.php?t=93840.
Clean your fuel system thru the gas tank with professional BG 44K Fuel Cleaner some say it is alot better than SeaFoam.

PS if you would like to purchase BG 44K Fuel System Cleaner it's hard to find + only sold to car dealers or auto repair shops. You find it on ebay or from where i buy it http://www.autobahnpower.com/products.asp?recnumber=542. I just bought 6 cans for my 3 cars + to save$ on shipping. You get a 11 oz can for 20 gal gas tank. I split the can run for 2 continuous fill ups on the xB.
Good Luck.....

The xb has low mile for a 06 like 45000 its a show car but we have been driving it a lot here lately that's when this problem started the plugs are good just changed them with the expensive one like 6 bucks each
I just turned 50K miles on my 2004 xB Spider themed showcar, When I did not drive it alot I always added a fuel stabilizer to my gas to prevent gumming/clogging up the fuel line + injectors while not in use.

Also, while throttle-body cleaning is good preventative maintenance, it should also help engine drivability. In fact, if you've noticed a rough idle, stumbling initial acceleration or even stalling - all when the engine is fully warmed up - a dirty throttle body could be the culprit. Once you look inside a throttle body, you will probably be surprised at the dirt, gum and varnish that have accumulated there over time.
