Default Should i dip my rims?

So I'm kind of going for the blacked out look/murdered out look. I have a lowered black tc2 that has 5% tints for the small windows and 15% from the rest. (Yes illegal in my state but surprisingly cops don't care what so ever) I got my headlights and my taillights tinted. I got lot's of compliments, but some say that i should get black wheels. So i'm wondering.... should i? I had them dipped before but i wanted to see if it would look good with the factory silver/greyish wheels and it also looks good.

If you want some pictures i can upload some. I think dipped rims would look really good, but probably make the car seem like.... idk, fast haha.

Seriously though, if you're going for the murdered-out look, you need to have black wheels. You can't have gunmetal, chrome, or steelies. They must be black wheels in order to have the true look. You should just PlastiDip them, then upload pics of it.

You know, i was thinking the same thing. Like it just makes it seem ricey in a sort of way. I have the money for some 700-800$ rims but i don't have money for new tires. All the rims that i like, i can't seem to find a place to buy them or the dimensions arnt exactly the same as the stock ones... I was thinking of getting xxr but i heard they are fake.

Heres an idea that I have been playing around with, check out the wheels on the RS 8 series tC. They look pretty nice, and are black. You can get your stock wheels powdercoated for anywhere from 200-500 dollars depending on what you do. Some places will powdercoat for 150-200 if you bring in just the rims. The place that I contacted by me said they would charge 460 for me to bring in the car, they take off the wheels and tires, prep, paint, bake, and fit the wheels and tires back on.

That way you can keep your stock tires and the stock wheels look pretty slick in my opinionClick the image to open in full size.

Would black dip and dip clear give that look? I noticed when i dipped my girls wheels they dont really come out as dark or look right like i expected them to with just the black.

$350-$400 is usually the price range of a good place to powder coat 4 rims.

Glossifier will make plasti dip glossy and not look so cheap.

Yeah glossifier is what I was thinking of just couldnt remember the name at the time. Maybe the op could try using the dip/ glossifier combo if he doesn't have 400 bucks to blow. The car sounds like it will look sick with black wheels.
