Can the tC handle 400-600hp?
I know that with a Turbo and a couple of other mods you can get the tC close to 400 or even more, but can the tC handle 600hp or more?
I know you'd need to change a lot of things but how much do you think it would cost?
I saw a couple videos on Youtube of a 600+ hp tC but i don't know if it was legit or not.

Well the question is can it support it? is it usable? most of the car wouldnt be a Scion anymore for obvious reasons, the engine in the race tC2 is bored out to make it a 2.7 instead of a 2.5. there are sooo many mods that would need to be done to get anywhere near that mark. There is a race tC2 with 600whp, but it is also a RWD car..that by itself is a huge difference. to make 600whp the cost would be insane, and there is no doubt better cars to do it with but you could make 450 usable. the best person to respond to this would be zeroeye, he knows his stuff and is looking for numbers around this mark!

About 400hp is the absolute upper limit you want to run on a "normal" tC.......
Without a good LSD (OS Giken), and without better wheels and tires ( I run 18x8 Enkei RPF1's on relatively sticky tires), anything over 250hp to the front wheels is dang near unusable. You have to actually be able to get it to the ground. And then there is the engine and tranny to consider.....high horsepower wont kill an engine, but high boost will, and to get a tc engine over 400hp you pretty much need high boost. You would also want to upgrade the clutch significantly (think Spec Stage 2+ or better), and need to get the high performance cv axels that Dezod sells:

IMHO if you are gonna go crazy with it, go ahead and convert it to RWD, or better yet, trade in and get a more capable platform like an FR-S

Don't worry, an 18 year old asking such a bad question. I'm sure he'll bash himself into something without our help.
Will a tC handle 4 to 6 hundred horsepower from the factory? no, atleast not for long. on a streetable tC, is it even usable or is there a point to it? no, not really.
My first gen tC with 311 whp will spin 3rd gear on all season tires. There is no point taking a daily driven fwd car to those numbers. You'd have to feather the throttle so much you'll pretty much be slower than everything else on the road until you get to 4th gear and can finally open it up.

I forgot the guy who built his tc2 but he ran near 400whp for a while, after that he blew a ring land. So basically, anything over 400whp you want to build the motor.
And like everyone else mentioned, anything over 400whp is just impractical. A few of my friends daily driver Honda's that have 300+whp and they spin. One daily's a 540whp Civic and 1st-5th are useless.
