Slow tC2.5 Build Thread
Bought my first non Mazda a few months ago. Test drove every car I could of afforded and ended up going with a 2014 Scion tC. Went with black because I wasn't a big fan of the black roof on the other colors. I haven't owned a non-lowered car in ages and ended up buying it with the TRD springs installed. I love the way the car rides now and it looks much better. Some pics:
I love the car. It handles awesome although the feel isn't quite what I was sued to driving Mazdas. Having some power is definitely a nice change though.
Primary complaints I had with it was the shifter's super long throw and laggy throttle response. So I bought a TRD quick shifter and installed it which has improved the car a lot in my opinion. I also ordered password JDM brass shift **** however they are taking ages to ship and not answering emails so I may end up cancelling that.
Next up on my list is some type of exhaust and possibly a roof spoiler.
Anyway just thought I;d put up a thread to track the cars progress and dump pictures in. Thanks for looking.

I got tired of waiting on Password JDM to return emails or ship my order so I'm going to cancel that and I spent the snowy day in the garage making a **** form an old 8 ball my dad found laying around.
Was a bit of a hassle figuring out how to drill the reverse lockout but I think it would be easy to do it if I make another ****.
Ignore the dirty car winter sucks.
Its a little bit big but not uncomfortable and its a little heavier then the stock one. Overall I'm pretty happy with it. Looks a bit tacky but thats sort of part of the charm I think.

Thanks guys. I'm pretty happy with it, going to be trying some other ways of making my own **** soon.
And you laugh but I spent a decent amount of time trying do decide which was which with that 8, it never looks quite right to me.

Got curious and weighed the 8-ball shift **** today. Its 127g versus 70g for the stock ****. I'm really pleased with it but I'm working on a design for a custom one in the near future.

A picture of her in last weeks storm:
I cant wait to be done with winter. Also got his in the mail the other day:
No pictures of it on the car yet because its either raining or the roads are salty so the car hasn't been clean. I really like how it looks though and the reception seems unaffected so far, I haven't been out in the country yet though.

Yeah the rear wiper can be prety useful sometimes. I had two Mazda Proteges, a 91 and a 01. Both lowered with bolt ons, they're seriously under powered cars but man they were fun to drive. I still want to find a first generation hatchaback one but I think they've all rusted to dust around here.
