100-500 miles, how should I be driving now?

Default 100-500 miles, how should I be driving now?

Hey guys, so far I have put roughly 100 miles on the car, I haven't gone over 3500-3700 rpms, I have been doing full throttle bursts every couple minutes, and not keeping a constant speed.

Anything new for this span of miles? any suggestions? I know that during the break in its essential to rev through all the RPMS but I didn't know when it was safe to go ahead and give it a few more revs, and or when to end up doing a few runs up to redline slowly.

your help is greatly appreciated.

you should be driving the car like a bat out of hell! j/k for me i waited to break 1,000+ miles before I pushed it, you can do it sooner if you want. its all up to you

pushing it to me is redline, but proper break in states that the motor needs to be rev'd across the entire band throughout the break in period, I'm just lacking the info on frequency and when to start the process of making it past the typical "keep it under 3500 rpms"

go easy on the clutch....

and keep it between 2500 and 3000 rpms

Do whatever you want. It isn't a science - it's personal opinion. But do go easy on the breaks for the first few hundred.

see keeping it between 3k rpms for 1k miles of its break in is not good, the motor has to be taken through its paces, its the process and timing I'm looking for.. more methodology.

drive it how you like. everything puts stress on the engine.


dont exceed redline of course and you'll be fine for the next XXXXXX years
